Hand Luggage Rules

The allowable onboard baggage size for most airlines is 56 x 45 x 25cm (22 x 17.7 x 9.8 inches) including wheels, handles and side pockets. (Keep in mind, that some airlines do set tighter size restrictions.)

Passengers are still limited to a single piece of hand luggage, but other hand bags—such as purses—can be carried inside the single carry-on. Musical instruments are also permitted.

Passengers are allowed to carry up to 1 litre of liquids in containers of no more than 100ml in capacity. These must be contained in a single transparent, re-sealable plastic bag.

The liquids allowed under this new ruling include gels, pastes, lotions, liquid/solid mixtures and the contents of pressurised containers, such as toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, perfume, deodorant, shaving foam and aerosols.

Additional to this, baby milk and medicines with a presciption can also be carried onboard flights. Passengers are also allowed to buy items in the departures lounge and take them on board.
